Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy explains how cancellations and refunds work on Paddio. Because Paddio is a platform that Clubs use to sell their own events, classes, court bookings, memberships, and products, the Club that offers the service sets its own cancellation and refund rules. This policy explains the framework; the Club's stated rules apply to your specific purchase. Nothing here limits your non-waivable rights under applicable consumer-protection law, including, in Mexico, the Ley Federal de Protección al Consumidor (PROFECO).

1. Who issues refunds

Each Club processes payments through its own Stripe account (Stripe Connect). The Club is the merchant of record for your purchase: the payment is made to the Club, the Club's name appears on your statement, and the Club is responsible for issuing refunds and for handling chargebacks and disputes. Paddio is not the seller and only charges the Club a platform fee; Paddio does not hold your funds. Paddio provides the tools that facilitate the request.

Refunds of online (card) payments are returned to your original payment method via Stripe. If you chose pay at venue (cash / in person), any amount you actually paid in person is refunded directly by the Club using its in-person method; if you reserved a spot with pay-at-venue but never paid, cancelling simply releases the reservation and there is nothing to refund.

2. Event and tournament registrations

• Cancellation windows, fees, and eligibility for a refund are set by the organizing Club and are shown at registration.
• If a Club cancels or materially changes an event, you are generally entitled to a refund of amounts paid for that event, subject to the Club's rules and applicable law.
• If you used a discount code / coupon, any refund is based on the amount you actually paid after the discount, not the original price. A used coupon may not be reusable, and coupons have no cash value.
• The Paddio platform fee is refunded together with your registration when the Club issues a full refund (for example, if it cancels the event). For partial refunds or player-initiated cancellations under a Club's rules, processing and platform fees may be non-refundable where the law allows.

3. Classes and court bookings

• Cancellation cut-off times (e.g., a number of hours before the session) and any fees are set by the Club and shown at booking.
• No-shows or late cancellations may be non-refundable per the Club's rules.

4. Memberships

• Membership terms, renewals, and cancellation rights are set by the Club. Review them before purchasing. You may cancel future renewals as described by the Club; amounts already paid for a current period may be non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.

5. Store / point-of-sale products

• Physical products may be returned or exchanged according to the Club's stated rules and your statutory rights (e.g., for defective goods).

6. How to request a refund or cancel

1. In the app / web: open the relevant registration or booking and use the cancel option if available, or
2. Contact the Club directly using the contact details shown on the event/booking, or
3. Email us at contacto@paddio.club and we will route your request to the Club and assist.

Refunds, once approved, are typically processed by Stripe within several business days; the time for funds to appear depends on your bank or card issuer.

7. Mobile app purchases

Purchases made through Paddio are payments for real-world Club services processed by Stripe — they are not Apple/Google in-app purchases, so refunds are handled by Paddio and the Club under this policy, not by the app stores.

8. Your consumer rights

This policy does not exclude or limit any mandatory consumer rights you have under applicable law, including remedies for cancelled services or defective products. Mexican consumers may contact PROFECO.
